Louisiana Comic Con -Lafayette will be at the Cajundome Convention Center Saturday & Sunday, October 8th and 9th . The 2 day family friendly event will have vendors, artists, fan groups, great costumes and big screen celebrities. The official Comic Con After Party will kick off at 6pm at Nitetown in Downtown Lafayette.
Downtown Lafayette is always a nice place to have a great time! The Complete Congress Block Party on Saturday, October 8 is a celebration of the Congress Street restriping project. The day’s events include yoga, children’s activities, the inaugural crossing of Complete Congress Street, and concludes with Downtown Lafayette’s 2nd Saturday ArtWalk.
The Victory Festival is happening Saturday at Gallery 333 on the corner of Monroe and Second Street in Lafayette from 4p-10p. There will be a silent auction, food trucks, kids activities, beer and music from Shrugs, Derrick Savoie and Dustin Gaspard .
Experience a Drive In Movie at Moncus Park At The Horse Farm Saturday Night. Enjoy the classic film American Graffiti and classic cars from the Bayou Round Up Car Show. It’ll be $20 per car, or if you’re registered with Bayou Round Up it’ll be $10, Walkups are $5! Don’t forget to bring a blanket or mats if you aren’t driving over. 6:00pm
If you like Bull Riding , Convict Poker and other rodeo favorites, The Angola Prison Rodeo is happening each weekend in October.
