Art, History, Live Music and more this weekend in Downtown Lafayette! Check out some fun things to do this weekend:
-Take a stroll down memory lane with a Tribute to the music of Marvin Gaye Friday, February 10th and Saturday, February 11th at 7:00 p.m. at Cite des Arts, 109 Vine Street in downtown Lafayette.
-Take a tour of the galleries during 2nd Saturday ArtWalk on the evening of Saturday, February 11th from 6 p.m.-9 p.m., as the Downtown comes alive with more than a dozen galleries, museums restaurants and shops offering live music, food, drink and of course, art for purchase, brought to you by Downtown Lafayette.
-Greenroom will be featuring their Artist of the Month, Chris Huff and “Chronicles of an Artist” featuring Dwight J. Roy. This show will start directly following Artwalk Saturday February 11th at 8:30pm.
-Big Chief Zydeco Mike and guests will discuss the history and art of masking. Kids will have a chance to create their own beaded and feathered creation at Main Library Story Castle. Saturday February 11th at 2PM.
-Stop the by The Wurst Biergarten after Artwalk on the 11th for an evening of original folk/rock/reggae sounds with the Michael Joseph Band.
-Lafayette Science Museum is celebrating this year’s Lafayette Reads Together book pick – Ms. Marvel: No Normal – with Super Science Day! Saturday February 11th from 10AM-8PM.
