Downtown Lafayette is celebrating the week of Christmas with lots of laughs and fun you don’t want to miss!
On Wednesday, December 21st, Silverbakcs Improv Theatre will present their traditional “Holiday Show.” A brand new, completely made up Holiday. With the audience’s help, Silverbacks will create their very own annual celebration – think “Festivus for the Rest of Us” from Seinfeld.
This fun show will be at The Hive at 810 Jefferson St. at (337)484-0172. Tickets can be purchased at the door, beginning at 6:30pm on December 21st, for $10 general admission. If you dress in Holiday Finery, tickets are $8.
Lafayette Comedy presents the new weekly stand-up comedy open mic at Steam Press Coffee Cafe featuring Evan Rabalais from 8p-11p, Wednesday, December 21st. Join the fun and enjoy some amazing food & drinks while getting in your comedy fill for the week! Admission is free.
Thursday December 22nd, Jefferson Street Pub is hosting its’ 3rd Annual Ugly Sweater Party accompanied with music by Strange Theories and release of Awkward Uncle Beer from 8:00pm – 11:00pm. Admission is free Wear your ugliest holiday sweaters for a chance to win prizes!
On Friday December 23rd, Artmosphere is bringing a unique review mixed with live music, live dance, spectacle and glamour! It’s “Boom Boom Burlesque and Rareluth Holiday Spectacular”. Wear your best holiday look for a chance at the first prize in the costume contest! 10pm-2am. Admission: $10
