Here are some of the highlights from our first 1063 Session of 2020!! If you weren’t able to make it out to the show, this is just a taste of the awesomeness you can experience at our shows!
This one featured national recording artist Illiterate Light, a duo from Virginia, who were absolutely phenomenal musicians! If you closed your eyes, you would have no idea that there were only two people on stage! While Jeff Gorman is playing the guitar, he’s also playing a synthesizer bass with his foot! All the while Jack Cochran provides the framework for the sound with his drumkit. Combined with their chemistry together on stage, it was truly an unforgettable night.
Opening up the show we had two amazing Homegrown bands – Todd Fernandez and his band out of Covington, LA, and Magic Crawfish from Lafayette. Be sure to check out more of their music and other great local acts Sunday nights at 9 PM on 106.3 Radio Lafayette for “Homegrown”, our local music show!
A big thank you goes out to Chip’s Daiquiris on Verot School Rd. for hosting the session, Atlantic Records for connecting us with Illiterate Light, and also to our photographer Lindsey Chambley who provided the amazing photos featured in this blog. Be sure to listen for our next 1063 Session, we plan to have another one soon!
