Position: Media Sales/Account Executive
Location: Lafayette, LA
Description: Acadiana’s only true locally owned multimedia company seeks talented and motivated individuals to join our Media Sales team. Account Executives help local businesses succeed by creating and selling marketing solutions using Delta Media’s multiple platforms of Television, Radio and Interactive assets. Ideal candidates are driven, organized, creative, team players with great communication skills and prior media sales experience.
ACCOUNTIBLITIES
- Create quality sales presentations and accurate sales orders
- Seek information from clients, present appropriate solutions for customers’ needs
- Adjust schedule to fit priority situations
- Communicate with others in the organization to ensure completion of projects
- Update and maintain internal and external databases and develop systems to track results of company products
- Provide quality internal and external customer service supporting the company’s values
- Obtain research and qualitative and retail information and various other demographic research for inclusion in proposals
- Perform other duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Must have current driver’s license and good driving record with proof of insurance coverage
- Travel required to meet with agency customers and attend trade shows
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
- Strong professional verbal and written communication skills
- Exemplary people and relationship management skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize effectively
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Proven successful selling and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated self-starter with ability to take ownership and initiative
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Track record of consistent, strong sales performance
- Minimum of two years advertising sales experience preferred
