I’d like to invite you to join me along with more than 50 volunteers for Habitat for Humanity’s National Women Build Week – a week-long event created by Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build program that challenges women to devote at least one day to help build affordable housing in their local communities. The week also spotlights the home ownership challenges faced by women.
Lowe’s donated nearly $2 million to this year’s National Women Build Week and each year provides the support of Lowe’s Heroes and conducts how-to clinics at stores to teach volunteers construction skills.
If you’re a bit scared you won’t know what you’re doing, don’t be! All shifts will be led by skilled Site Supervisors, and Women Build experts. Get your friends together, and join us. Spots are open for Friday, May 8th 1pm-4pm, Saturday, May 9th 9am-12pm and/or 1pm-4pm.
Perks include free Women Build loot, lunch/snacks, calories burned and a great sense of accomplishment at the end of your shift. Slots are limited, so sign up today.
