Shout out and a big congratulations are in order for my friend, Lafayette native and actor Judd Lormand! It was announced today on Deadline.com that his character, Lieutenant Commander Eric Blackburn, which was featured heavily on Season 1 of SEAL Team, has been promoted to a series regular for the next season of the CBS military drama series premiering again this October.
I’ve known Judd since from my early days of volunteering and learning media & TV at AOC Community Media in the late 90’s! You may remember his very fun cable access program ‘THIS WEEK IN WRESTLING’… of which, I was lucky enough to help out on sometimes. It’s very awesome to see how far he has come in perusing his acting career… some of his recent roles include playing Secretary of State Robert McNamara in the LBJ feature opposite Woody Harrelson in the title role, the uptight bank manager Mr. Freely in the upcoming indie comedy Carter & June, and the corrupt police officer who tries to subdue Tom Cruise in the opening of a the latest Jack Reacher film. Cheers to you Judd and here’s to continued success for you Sir!
