Remember Legends of the Hidden Temple? It was agame show on Nickelodeon back in the 90s, where kids ran around a fake temple/obstacle course… and of course who could forget the giant talking stone head, Olmec… which was pretty much why I loved watching it… and the “shrine of the silver monkey”, which tripped up many of the kids in the temple somehow. (It’s only 3 pieces of a silly monkey statue that you have to stack… c’mon guys…)
Well guess what? Get ready to set nostalgia into hi-gear – Nickelodeon is making it into a TV movie that centers on three siblings who visit a Hidden Temple theme park and fall through the floor of an old temple ruin and discover it’s real. Below is the movie trailer for it that premiered at San Diego Comic-Con last weekend.
The original game show’s host, Kirk Fogg, appears in the movie, who claims it’s like Jumanji in a way, but with a competitive game show feel to it. He was at first apprehensive about the movie, and changed his mind once he read the script. Legends of the Hidden Temple: The Movie premieres in November on Nickelodeon.
