Congrats to local comic book creator Kody Chamberlain whose comic property Tag has been optioned by Fox. They have picked up the film rights to “Tag,” the 2006 BOOM! Studios miniseries by Keith Giffen and Kody Chamberlain, for “Annabelle’s” John Leonetti to direct. The horror comic centers on a man who’s “tagged” on the street by a stranger, and saddled with an ancient curse that causes his body to begin to decay. He’s faced with a dilemma: Watch himself die, or find somebody else to tag.”According to Deadline, the adaptation is being positioned as a psychological thriller with a female protagonist. Ross Richie, Stephen Christy and Adam Yoelin will produce the film for BOOM!
