The classic rock icons look set to converge for a three-day festival this October… some are calling it “Oldchella” LOLZ… I don’t care what they call it because it sounds like an amazing event for the ages!
AEG-owned concert promoter Goldenvoice—the company behind Coachella— recently revealed plans for a mega-concert featuring Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Rolling Stones, the Who, and Roger Waters. The festival is slated to take place October 7-9 at Empire Polo Field in Indio, Calif., the same site as Coachella, and will mark the first time all six have shared a bill. (It’s also the first time Dylan and McCartney have shared a bill.) Today, as Stereogum points out, five of those six acts have shared teasers on Facebook—Neil Young remains silent—all shot in a similar format and closing on the word, “October.” Click here to check out the videos!
Goldenvoice recently expanded to the east coast with their Panorama Festival, which features LCD Soundsystem, Arcade Fire, and Kendrick Lamar as headliners.
