I’m shamelessly addicted to chocolate… and I’m not afraid to admit it. My love of chocolate is so much to the extreme that I don’t actually like sweets that don’t contain chocolate. Yeah, even as a kid I would turn down pecan pie, pralines, vanilla ice cream, yellow cake, and all sorts of other things most kids would beg their parents for.
Reese’s have always had this nice 50/50 ratio of chocolate versus PB… but what happens when the Hershey company decides to upset the delicate balance of the force? CHAOS! Just kidding… What happens is we get TWO versions of the same candy – one for chocolate lovers like me, and one for peanut butter lovers… and they’ll be here next month!
Reese’s “Peanut Butter Lovers” will contain more (you guessed it) peanut butter, replacing the top layer of chocolate with peanut butter instead, and coating them with a peanut butter candy shell.
That’s all fine and dandy… what I want is the other version… FOR CHOCOLATE LOVERS… which will contain a higher proportion of richer and darker milk chocolate and an even thicker chocolate shell! I’m drooling already. April just can’t get here fast enough. Both versions will be on sale for a limited time only – I’ll be stocking up!
No matter which version you prefer… there’s still no wrong way to eat a Reese’s.
Oh yeah… I totally made this hole in the Reese’s cup with a knife… it took 3 failed attempts to get it right. Waaaaay harder than I thought it would be. Remember that old Reese’s commercial on TV where kid brother Roger eats his Reese’s cups “real weird”… “How do you do that, Roge?” I always wondered that too! The answer? Maaaagic… or just a kitchen knife.
