I’ve really been enjoying this new track from Los Angeles-based band, Lovelytheband – it’s called “Broken” from their debut EP Everything I Could Never Say.
The song and the video are about being the real you… It’s starts off saying that we’re all “broken” in some way. People tend to want to hide their flaws or “broken-ness” from other people in order to gain acceptance. The video follows two people at a party who seem to be tired of that fake painted facade that everyone puts forth to fit in. Because they choose to be real with each other, flaws and all, they find a true meaningful connection with each other.
