July 21st, 2016 was the first ever Pokémon Go Pub Crawl in Acadiana which took place in Downtown Lafayette, hosted by Times Of Acadiana and The Daily Advertiser. There were six stops total, full of poké-stops and pokémon to catch. There were even several pokémon hunters dressed in cosplay!
The event kicked off 7, beginning at Agave, then continued down Jefferson Street, stopping in 30-minute intervals for each bar/restaurant, to catch pokémon, setting lures along the way. The Wurst Biergarten was the second stop, followed by The Jefferson Street Pub, where everyone was freaking out over an elusive Charmeleon.
Next up, was Phillyana Cheesesteaks, and then Pho’tastic Vietnamese Cuisine & Bar, which had a special Pikachu mixed drink for pub crawlers that night, and then finally Legend’s, where I ran into a whole table full of Team Mystic members.
I hope you enjoyed the video above, shout out to my new Pokémon Go friends!
