A Tetris movie has been in the works for years now. I know what you’re thinking – how are they going to construct a plot out of it? I mean, it’s a puzzle game with falling shapes.
But apparently, the plot isn’t the problem. In fact, they just announced that they have TOO MUCH material, so they’re being forced to turn it into a trilogy, like it’s freakin’ Lord of the Rings or something…
The producer said the story they conceived is huge… And yet, aside from it being a sci-fi movie, he won’t reveal anything about it. He did say it’s NOT going to have blocks with feet running around the movie. Thank GOD. But that’s what people seem to think, which sets the bar rather low. At least we won’t be disappointed LOL
I’m still a little confused… The Lord of the Rings began with 9,250 pages of manuscripts. That requires a trilogy obviously. But I’ve played Tetris… it’s a game that can be fully explained in a SENTENCE, and yet it needs seven or eight hours of screen-time?
I guess we’ll see when it hits the big screen.
