Like to play Angry Birds? Did you see the movie?
Now McDonald’s has Angry Birds inspired sandwiches that look a little ummm… unpalatable…
Sure the Darth Vader one with the black bun was cool… but GREEN doesn’t translate well to bread, nor does RED.
These Angry Birds burgers are being offered in China, called “The Naughty Green Pork Burger” – it has a GREEN BUN to match the green pigs in the movie.
“The Super Red Burger” is inspired from the red bird you see on the game cover. The problem is, they don’t look very appealing.
The green-colored burger looks moldy, and the red-colored burger looks like it has soaked up a lot of blood! ACK!
If you can get past the off-putting colors, the burgers sound pretty yummy. The green version contains a pork patty with egg, lettuce, jalapenos, and a mystery sauce. The red version is an egg and chicken sandwich, with what looks like some sort of mystery sauce too…
McDonald’s is also planning to release Angry Birds Combo Boxes with Chicken McNuggets, Spicy Nuggets, and new Jalapeno Chicken McNuggets. Even a dessert, the Lemon Custard McFlurry, which is based on Angry Birds character Chuck.
