Earlier today, I came to the realization that my birthday is tomorrow. Since the days are all starting to blend together, it’s easy to lose track of the passage of time. I immediately panicked, thinking my license was going to expire… thankfully I had renewed it not too long ago, but it got me thinking about how other people might be wondering what to do, now that we can’t just run to the DMV… Thankfully there’s good news!
LA Wallet is allowing the app to be downloaded free of charge to Louisiana residents. Search “LA Wallet” to download the app, available on Apple and Android devices. If you already have LA Wallet, you will need to update the app to the newest version.
Renewing your license with the app is just like current online renewal options, but in addition to receiving your physical credential by mail, you will also receive an updated LA Wallet digital license or ID within 24 hours of renewal.
