Oreo has been cranking out new flavors like crazy for the past few years. And while some of them have been weird, this MIGHT be the weirdest…
The newest flavor is . . . Swedish Fish Oreos! Mmmm YUM!! (Eh… ok not really yum… in fact, that sounds pretty dang awful.)
These lovely new oreos use the traditional chocolate cookies, filled with a red cream in between that supposedly tastes like Swedish Fish. The cream isn’t gummy like Swedish Fish, but it will have their flavor . . . and I’m pretty sure that flavor DOES NOT compliment chocolate. At least it’s candy fish and not tuna fish flavor… I’m being optimistic here.
Swedish Fish Oreos are on sale at Kroger grocery stores this week. Unfortunately, you’ll have to travel west of Acadiana to pick some up. There’s no word if or when they might start selling them at other grocery stores… but I’m totally ok if they don’t.
Seriously Nabisco… what were you thinking??
