About ten years ago, one of the major taglines for the iPhone was that no matter what it is, there’s an app for that. Yes, the iPhone is almost ten years old, but that’s beyond the point.
Jeremy Renner, secondary character in the Marvel Cinematic universe, apparently has embarked on a music career. We all know how celebrities fare when it comes to the world of music, but Renner has gone one step further, launching a fan app.
In a world where Kim Kardashian and several other “celebs” have their own apps to promote their brand is all well and good. However, that’s not what this is about. Everytime the app opens up, it has Renner’s cover of The Animals “House of the Rising Sun.” The worst part is that it is extremely loud and might draw the wrong kind of attention towards you if you’re in a meeting or in class.
I’d say avoid the app unless you really enjoy the actor that portrays Hawkeye. If you’re really interested in hearing Renner sing, here’s a sample of it.
