The Daily Advertiser reports:
All Lafayette Parish public schools are open today and will dismiss at regular times.
Chief Administrative Officer Joe Craig says “Parents of students at at least four schools received automated phone calls this morning, saying that school was closed and the students needed to be picked up”
“That call is not coming from the school system they are coming from a number that isn’t even a complete phone number and the information is incorrect” Craig said.
Paul Breaux Middle, J. Wallace James Elementary and Green T. Lindon Elementary are three of the affected schools .
“There’s nothing going on the district, and we’re not sure who is sending the call,” Craig said. “It is not coming from the district or the schools.”
