Today’s featured track for New Music Tuesday comes to us from The Beck!
As you may already know, Beck’s new album Colors comes out this Friday, October 13th… we’ve heard some great tracks from it already, including “Dreams” from a few years ago, “WOW”, “Up All Night”… and the most recent “Dear Life” – listen below!
So, we’ve always known Beck to have a unique flair… but this is most unusual! The Boston-based retail chain Newbury Comics will be selling CDs of Beck’s new album, “Colors” … ummm… signed by MC Hammer?
But why?? MC Hammer was not involved in making of the album, and as far as I can see… they’ve never actually worked on anything together. According to one of Beck’s reps, the two are fans of each other, and MC Hammer issued a statement saying “’Colors’ is a great party record.” Well… I guess it’s more like the Hammer’s seal of approval!
