Their new album Vide Noir comes out April 20th! So far they’ve shared a number of tracks, including a brand new one yesterday called “When The Night Is Over” … My faaaaavorite one so far is “Ancient Names II” – it has the same feel to it as “The World Ender” from Strange Trails (the first song that got me hooked on their music!).
They’ve all got this vintage tinged sound, sometimes with the sound of a tape dragging and distorting the audio ever so slightly, not jarring, just the nostalgic warble reminiscent of old recording techniques. I’m a sucker for little details like that, it really makes me feel the era when I listen. Check out the tracks below for a taste of what’s to come:
